Ural Airlines redesigned part of the fleet for cargo transportation

14.04.2020

Ural Airlines, following the example of world airlines, reassigned part of its fleet to cargo. Currently, the carrier is provided with orders for the delivery of goods until the end of May 2020.

“The number of passenger flights in the current environment has greatly decreased. At the same time, we see increased demand for cargo transportation. The priority is essential goods, medicines for the treatment of coronavirus, medical equipment, protective equipment and so on. Therefore, our airline decided to use part of the aircraft to carry out cargo flights, ” said the commercial director of the airline, Kirill Skuratov, adding that all obligations regarding scheduled passenger flights remain unchanged.

In particular, the extensive flight program of Ural Airlines for the delivery of goods is tied to flights from China. The first such flight on the route Beijing - Yekaterinburg will take place on April 15, 2020. The cargo delivered by the carrier is given the highest priority.

Also, freight traffic is planned in Russia. The day before, two flights with medical equipment for metropolitan medical institutions were sent from Yekaterinburg to Moscow.
