Rules for the carriage of passengers with disabilities

Attention! Additional equipment used to serve passengers with reduced mobility at the airport is provided for FREE.

The airline will make all possible efforts to assist passengers with disabilities, however, when accepting them for carriage, the following conditions must be met:

  • the passenger does not have a dangerous / contagious disease;
  • the passenger’s appearance and mental state do not pose a threat to others.

Medical supplies, medical equipment (ventilators, oxygen cylinders, components for them), a folding wheelchair transported in the cabin, crutches for sick / disabled people are transported free of charge and are not included in the free baggage allowance.

Wheelchair users

Passengers with reduced mobility in a wheelchair are accepted for transportation with an accompanying person or without an accompanying person under the supervision of the Airline.

Wheelchair is transported in the luggage compartment.

Passengers may use a wheelchair with a mechanical drive before boarding the aircraft or baggage it during check-in.

Passengers using an electric wheelchair must be sure to check in such a wheelchair when checking in for a flight. Wheelchairs with electric drive are transported in accordance with safety rules: the battery must be disconnected, the battery terminals must be insulated to prevent short circuits . The battery capacity of the lithium-ion battery in the wheelchair must not exceed 300 Wh. Only 1 spare battery with a capacity of not more than 300 Wh or 2 spare batteries, each of which does not exceed 160 Wh, can be carried in baggage.

After handing the wheelchair into baggage, the passenger will be delivered to the plane in a wheelchair provided by the airport. The wheelchair is returned to the passenger immediately after leaving the aircraft, or in the baggage claim area (in this case, the passenger with reduced mobility will be delivered to the baggage claim seat in the wheelchair provided by the airport).

Severely Passenger / Patient on a Stretcher

A passenger can be transported on a stretcher only after receiving confirmation of the possibility of its implementation by the Airline no later than four days before the planned transportation.

The Airline has the right to refuse transportation in the absence of technical capabilities of the aircraft equipment, or other reasons at the discretion of the Airline.

To order a service, you must fill out a request on the form (MEDIF) and send it to the email address: company@u6.ru no later than 7 working days before the start of the planned transportation.

The carriage of a passenger on a stretcher is possible only upon departure on direct scheduled flights of the Airline, accompanied by at least one adult.

The minimum allowable passenger height for carriage on a stretcher is 140 cm.

The airline does not provide medical support and additional equipment required to carry a passenger on a stretcher.

Transportation is carried out on the last 3 rows of the Economy cabin on the port side. Passenger service on a stretcher at the airport is provided by airport medical staff.

The cost of the service is agreed individually and is at least 9 seats at the full economy class rate.

Passengers deprived of sight and / or hearing

A passenger who is deprived of sight and hearing is transported with an accompanying person.

A passenger who is deprived of hearing or sight, as agreed with the Airline, may be transported without an accompanying person.

By agreement with the Airline, a passenger who is deprived of sight can be transported accompanied by a guide dog upon presentation of a document confirming the disability of this passenger and a document confirming the special training of the guide dog.

A guide dog accompanying a visually impaired passenger is transported free of charge in excess of the established free baggage allowance. The guide dog must have a collar and a muzzle and be tied to a chair at the feet of the passenger it accompanies.

Unaccompanied passengers deprived of sight and / or hearing are accepted for carriage in agreement with the Airline and under the supervision of the Airline.

Transportation of passengers who are hearing and vision impaired at the same time, a disabled child up to 12 years of age is carried out only accompanied by a passenger, assisting him in flight.
